2019 – Stories of Hand-On Healing
Recipient: Vitality Cincinnati, Inc.
Country: United States
Date: December 17, 2019
Amount: $950
HTWF board approved a grant to VITALITY Cincinnati Inc. in support of them publishing a Healing Touch Book. This new Healing Touch book is intended to provide testimonials of Healing Touch and its benefits from the many people who have learned of and taken a Healing Touch class through VITALITY Cincinnati. The goal is that the book will raise awareness of HT and will result in sales of the book. The proceeds of the book will then provide funds to continue to enrich the Buswinka Healing Touch Fund that has been funding scholarships for participants to take HT classes. We are also asking VITALITY to include an acknowledgement of HTWF supporting the publication of this book.
As background, VITALITY has hosted over 30 Healing Touch classes where 200 people have received scholarship assistance. Over five hundred people have experienced Healing Touch at VITALITY and its association with the Cincinnati-Bond Hill food pantry. Helen Buswinka, a HT student that volunteers at VITALITY and began this scholarship fund in 2017.
